Flodex

The Flodex is a user-friendly powder flowability tester to measure the flowability index of powders over an arbitrary scale of 4 to 40, providing a valuable scale for raw materials. This test considers various factors influencing powder flowability, such as:

The Flodex intrinsic flowability method is based on the ability of a powder to fall freely through an orifice in a disk. This reliable powder flowability tester includes a set of 19 disks with orifice sizes ranging from 4 mm to 34 mm, making it versatile for various applications. For pharmaceutical use, the Flodex system adheres fully to USP <1174> Powder Flow standards.
