Fluorinated oils

Fluorocarbon oils have proven to be of great interest for use as continuous phase. They help to dilute surfactants for droplet production. Specifically, they are inert, biocompatible and allow gas exchange thus making them perfectly suitable for biological applications.

Function: ensuring stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments.

 

Products:

Fluo-Oil 7500

Fluo-Oil 7500 is a fluorinated oil by Emulseo that serves as an alternative to Novec™ 7500 for microfluidic applications. Notably, Fluo-Oil 7500 ensures stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Furthermore, its chemical and physicochemical properties are similar to those of Novec™ 7500.

In particular, Fluo-Oil 7500 works well for solubilization of surfactant from Emulseo.

 

Fluo-Oil 135

Fluo-Oil 135 is another fluorinated oil which can serve as an alternative to Novec™ 7500 for microfluidic applications. Similarly, its physicochemical properties are similar to those of Novec™ 7500.

In addition, Fluo-Oil 135 works well for solubilization of stabilizer from Emulseo.

 

Fluo-Oil 200

Fluo-Oil 200 is a fluorinated oil by Emulseo as an alternative to Fluorinert™ FC-40 oil for microfluidic applications. It has especially been formulated to ensure stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Fluo-Oil 200 chemical and physicochemical properties are similar to those of Fluorinert™ FC-40.

Fluo-Oil 200 works well especially for solubilization of surfactant from Emulseo.

 

Fluo-Oil 40

Fluo-Oil 40 is a fluorinated oil  by Emulseo that serves as an alternative to Fluorinert™ FC-40 for microfluidic applications. It ensures stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Fluo-Oil 40 chemical and physicochemical properties are similar to those of Fluorinert™ FC-40.

Fluo-Oil 40 works well especially for solubilization of surfactant from Emulseo.

 

Applications of fluorocarbon oils:

  • Fluorescence measurements: Optical brightness and minimum noise.
  • Encapsulation: Ideal for small dyes and sensitive samples.
