Single-use & multi-use vessels: combining essential innovation and quality in bioreactors
The single-use vessels of the eLAB Essential are designed for seamless integration with the eLAB Essential bioreactor, supporting a wide range of volumes from 0.5 to 5 liters. These vessels are single-use, ensuring sterility and eliminating the need for cleaning and maintenance, therefore reducing the risk of cross-contamination. Despite being single-use, they allow comprehensive control over key parameters such as pH, temperature, agitation, foam, and pO₂. Included components are a brushless stirrer, stirrer shaft seal, various impellers, aeration filters, and ports for foam electrodes detection, with additional options like pH and DO spot sensors, external pumps, and different sparger configurations.
Alternatively, multi-use vessels have specific dimensions and weights, varying based on total and working volumes, designed to be compact and lightweight. Equipped with a heating blanket, they have a specified working temperature range and are compatible with various sensors to accurately monitor and control the bioprocessing environment. Their configuration includes the control of essential features for optimal microbial and cellular growth and, if needed, the system can be further enhanced with additional options like a microsparger for finer bubble generation, a dip pipe sparger for efficient gas delivery, and mass flow controllers for precise air and oxygen addition.
